Focus. Focus.
That's what i lack at times. The purpose. The drive.
Taking up Wushu has enabled me to take up a form of discipline where i might be able to direct some focus to.
Earlier in the year, i had planned to join many different clubs: from overseas christian fellowship (OCF - a must!), students arising learning to serve (SALTS), city gospel fellowship (CGF) [religion] to Entrepreneur investment club (EIC)[sth commercy] to chinese music group (CMG) , engineering music society (EMS) [music] to tae kwan do [sporty].
By the time i got through first week of uni, i found out that my commitment to OCF meant that SALTS was a no-no, EIC might clash very occassionally (if i wanted a break on fridays), EMS would be an additional thing on top of playing flute in church, tae kwan do.. well, the people weren't that enthusiastic in welcoming us! lol.
Apparently, ppl at wushu's not too bad.. a small welcoming group is good =D But of course, the sacrifice of meeting these nice people is the aches and sores from stretches .. typically, a good match at badminton makes me sore for 1-2 days and i'll be free and happy from those aching feelings. Unfortunately, perhaps i'm not that stretchable (though i'm told by the master that i'm quite - must be some of those flare dance stuff that paid off)
So that's my life in uni outside classes =D
Back to studies in uni, that's where my drive is lacking. =p Having 2 days off uni with no job, no huge commitment (well, at least there's wushu now) means the challenge in starting to do work. So far, failed to complete tuts before classes start. I'll have to kick start myself after this week's tuts.. and catch up soon..
note: here's an interesting thing. 3 friends of mine collaborated and decided that they would take turns to nag me into studying.. how cool is that! haha. great friends.
