Baking/cooking for the better

One aspect that I think i should start changing is the reluctance to 'waste time' cooking meals that would be nourishing and thus improve my attention span and study habits. Because, that's not really wasting time, sitting in front of any computer is. =p My habit has always just been to buy beef, carrots and potatoes and just cook that for dinner (yes, no rice or noodles, maybe occasionally)

Tempted by the way 'the new kids on the block' cook, despite having to finish up my assignments, July camp commitments and more importantly catch up with the 6 weeks of lectures, I just have to head down to the market soon to get:

1) Pineapple! So many recipes that i'm looking forward with this
2) White vinegar
3) Rice (my body has been depraved of this for 2 months.. oh wait. i sometimes eat at EK to compensate =p)
4) Nuts! (nuts for nuts!)
5) Choco pillows! (my snack though it's actually a cereal made of wheat with chocolate inside!! yum!)

Ok. Shall stop for fear of the lightening of my wallet. And lets hope i actually get down to doing it =p

on a side note: got a FREE LIMITED EDITION of SimCity when MM (music ministry) social went to GAME ON, a games exhibition that lets you "play your way through history". They had all sorts of games, from the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 all the way to those ancient consoles that even I have yet to hear about like Atari, Commodore.. It was quite interesting because there was a section where they showed Grand Thief Auto's making.. with even a suit, probably worn by one of the characters in the game, showcased! Super Awesome ok! Oh oh! They also have DDR!! (for those who do not know this era, it means Dance Dance Revolution!) There were cool games which i have not seen before like blue dragon on Xbox 360 i think. Similar to all the FFs and more "kiddish". Played this game that was supposed to be based on a movie (which i have not even heard of) and this character not only uses guns but a watch that shoots sth out?? Apparently as i was playing halfway, overheard these two guys talking about how he would use the watch all the time! I was half thinking "huh? how? the accuracy on this thing is crazy!" Lol.

Never Good with Words..

Well, aside from words, sometimes my actions blur many others as well.

The worst thing about me is that i enjoy creating double meaning, causing others to misinterpret most of the thing due to my cheekiness.

Last friday, the verse from Psalms 18:21 i think was drilled into my brain "the tongue has the power of life and death". Indeed, no matter what the time period is, this seems to hold true. My tongue is one that i've been struggling to keep in control for the longest amount of time that i can even recall.. And now it happily resurfaces. Found myself speaking and stuttering similarly to SY's form of speaking because i guess i found it quite cute and funny to do so. It provides a platform to be honest without being too tactful yet gets the message across. My normal way of speaking is too direct, very similar to stabbing someone quickly and removing my blade. How can the verse be applicable in my life? I found myself stabbing recklessly soon after yet the gentle way of speaking does not appeal to me. Always found that it doesn't seem like human nature and in a way quite fake. However, sometimes while actually wanting to offer my services or be kind, i tend to cover it with some words that are less kind. My 'mask' is to be recognised as being naughty or mischeivous and this is probably not very conscious of the effort to 'set myself apart from the world'.

Got to try harder =x

On another note, it's the first weekend that i'm consciously forcing myself to study! hurray for the slow progress and a giant step towards growing up and the advancement into working life.

slow stressful times

the time to panic should start soon yet it passes by so slowly.

managed to convince my coursemates to meet tomorrow so i had a few hours to kill before ocf music prac. (actually had the whole morning but no.. i had to slack and eat lunch early and find all sorts of excuses)

Attempts to study at a location close to church meant sitting in front of the computers and struggling with the slow connection in uni as well =x this increases the chance of getting distracted both by ppl online as well as facebook!

an elaboration on facebook: this guy sitting next to me all of a sudden asked me how to delete friends on facebook! =x so funny ok.. haha, funnier that i actually attempted to help him figure out.. though only to block not delete fully.

music prac was good.. kat graciously provided many of the scores thus able to play and waste less time figuring out the notes..

i don't deserve the title of team leader for welcome though coz i think seriously, yenping and shiek yan did most of the work.

after the night, got to talk to myra who coached me on getting PR. Loads of documents to settle .. i should start by the july hols and download the file to find out what exactly is needed and pass up immediately after graduation?

loads of talk about interviews and the confidence to sell self.

jammed with the flute later. tried improvising.. wasn't easy for songs that i nv heard before.. but i guess once i figured out the key it was on and avoided playing notes off the key, it was alright to just play random notes.. =D hurray!

Windy day (literally)

2nd April, Wednesday.

I never knew the destructive powers of the wind until i heard the news. Indeed it was another typical 'weird weather' in melbourne with winds blowing so hard it was literally hard to walk straight. A course mate of mine who was quite big in size was telling his story of being lifted and blown a meter back by the large gust of wind. What shocked me most was to hear deaths occurring as a result of it! Apparently a woman was killed by some bricks as winds reached 130km/h!

Tree brunches lying scattered on the roads and the strong winds didn't seem to link in my mind though on hind sight and having read the report, it should. Oh.

Due Due Due

While looking for new ways to avoid studying, i realised some photos i have from belgrave can be nice if i mess around with it. Shall do so, after i finally settle down and study though. (which might take forever)

On my list:

i have revise ALL 4 subjects, 3 weeks' worth of tuts, one enite to prepare for, one presentation on monday, one assignment due on friday.

It's time to start.

on a side note:

My life's all about deaths. (AM and their mortality rates. Death within PAs or CAL years. And Enite's countdown.)
